About Hills Community Child Care
Hills Community Child Care (HCCC) is a not for profit community organisation offering quality restricted childcare to hills residents. HCCC opened its doors for the first time in October 2008 after a twelve month process of renovations and establishing the centre to comply with licensing regulations. HCCC is run by a committee of volunteer parents.
HCCC now runs on a restricted care licence offering a five hour educational program four days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) for 1yo to 5 yo children. We have excellent carer to children ratio’s allowing quality care for 16 children with three carers per session.
HCCC is located at the old Olinda Primary School Headmasters cottage in the beautiful school grounds. Our amazing facilities allow for indoor and outdoor activities and encompass all that is good about the hills environment that we live in. A sun filled play yard with gardens surrounding all sides of the cottage bringing nature into the activities. The cottage has two large play rooms and a third dedicated craft room.
The carers run a well balanced educational program that is structured to offer children a space that allows for their imagination to grow by exploring their boundaries as well as a variety of varied controlled group activities. The growth and success of HCCC is attributed directly to the staff and the personal care they provide.
